Dr. Suseela K. K.’s expertise spans a wide array of ophthalmic procedures, with a focus on Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery. Renowned for her meticulous approach, she has performed over 50,000 cataract surgeries, employing advanced techniques such as Micro-Incision Cataract Surgery and implantation of premium intraocular lenses. Her dedication extends beyond cataract care, encompassing Glaucoma Management, Corneal Ulcer Management, Pterygium Surgery, and comprehensive eye care services.
Dr. Suseela K.K. also possess wide working experience in the field of cataract surgery. Served as a Consultant for 10 years at St.Thomas Mission Hospital, Kattanam, Alappuzha and 7 years at St.Gregorious Mission Hospital Parumala, Pathanamthitta and Senior Consultant for 12 years at Chaithanya Eye Hospital.
Educational Journey
Dr. Suseela K. K. embarked on her journey in medicine at the esteemed Govt. Medical College, Kottayam, where she obtained her MBBS degree. Her passion for ophthalmology led her to pursue further specialization, culminating in a Diploma and later, a Master of Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology from Govt. Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram. Ever dedicated to honing her skills, she underwent training in Phacoemulsification Cataract Surgery at Arasan Eye Hospital, Erode, Tamilnadu in 2006, enriching her repertoire with cutting-edge techniques.
